What’s up at Buckeye Barn TN?

Hey friends!

Things are cranking up on the farm. We’re excited about the warmer weather and preparing for the busy season once again.

  1. Maggie, our yellow lab, had 3 puppies on 2/22/22. Two black males and one yellow female. It’s been fun having these squirming little babies around…and yes…they cry a lot and sound just like human babies. My mom alert goes off all hours of the night. We have a deposit on one puppy and the other two are available.

  2. We have ducklings hatching today. I have a few dozen eggs in the incubator ready to pip. Baby ducks are so stinking cute, and ducks are so easy to care for.

  3. Speaking of ducks, we are getting about a dozen eggs each day from our lady waddlers. If you haven’t tried duck eggs yet, do it! They are so nutritious and the eggs are typically 50% larger than chicken eggs.

  4. This week, we have three varieties of fresh microgreens: kale, broccoli and sunflower. These super foods are so easy to add to your daily meals.

  5. Here’s an easy chicken recipe I made last night and it was a big hit with the family.
